2 MEN FORM THEIR CRIMINAL DEFENSE AGAINST 2013 MURDER ACCUSATIONS

Over a year and a half after a body was found in the Grand River, two men have been arrested. The Missouri police have accused both men of murdering the 29-year-old and attempting to dispose of the body in the river. Both men must presumably begin their criminal defense soon.

The authorities discovered the body at around 6 p.m. on June 5, 2013. When an autopsy was performed the next day, the investigators claim that the man had been shot three times, which ultimately caused his death. The authorities hypothesized that the man had left a party the night of May 30, 2013, but he had crashed his car on the way to his girlfriend’s house. He had allegedly sought the help of two residents nearby — the 24-year-old and 19-year-old suspects.

The authorities believe that the two young men drove the victim to a convenience store, which is where the man was supposedly last seen alive. It is not clear how the victim knew the two men, but the authorities suspect that an altercation broke out between the three parties. The authorities believe that the fight was initiated by rumors that the victim was abusing his girlfriend and her daughter. After the fight escalated, investigators claim that the two suspects shot the victim.

The authorities state that their hypothesis was founded on evidence that includes witness statements and phone records, but the exact evidence is unclear. As the Missouri men go through the criminal process and begin to form their criminal defense, they will have every opportunity to defend against their charges in court. They also have specific legal rights that they would do well to safeguard throughout the process.
