2 begin criminal defense against robbery accusations

Two men were recently arrested after an incident at a Strafford Super 8 motel. The Missouri authorities have accused the men of robbing the motel. Additionally, one of the clerks supposedly opened fire at the alleged robbers, but no one was injured. The two men accused of suspicion of first-degree robbery are likely focused on forming their criminal defense.

At about 5 a.m., the two motel clerks claimed that two men entered the motel, jumped over the reception counter and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. One of the clerks shot at the men, but none of the shots landed. It is not clear whether the clerk will face any kind of criminal charges as well. The clerks gave a vague description of the alleged robbers, and they claim that one of the men dropped an undisclosed item at the scene.

The details surrounding the arrest of the 17-year-old are unclear, and it is also unclear whether the prosecution will attempt to try him as a minor or as an adult. The police officers claim that they arrested the 24-year-old after receiving an anonymous tip about an individual who was "looking into" parked cars at the local mall's parking lot. Both men face a serious felony charge.

The two individuals, like anyone else accused of a crime in Missouri, are presumed innocent until, and only if, proved guilty. The two men have specific legal rights that must be safeguarded through their entire criminal process. One of these rights is the right to make the decisions in their criminal defense that, in their judgment, have the chance to achieve the best possible outcome.
