Criminal defense to begin for 3 accused of robbery

Following a convenience store robbery, three people were arrested in Columbia. The Missouri State Highway Patrol pulled over the vehicle containing a passenger that they believed was involved in the purported crime, and they eventually arrested the driver and one passenger. The other passenger fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later. Each person will likely begin forming his or her criminal defense soon.

At around 10:44 p.m., the local authorities received a call concerning the robbery. The investigators hypothesize that a man wearing a ski mask and dark clothing had entered the store. The man supposedly brandished a firearm, and he demanded that the cashier give him money from the safe as well as the register. After collecting an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fled the scene.

Less than 10 minutes after the call came in, the Missouri Highway Patrol spotted a suspect who matched the description given of the man in the mask. When the officer pulled the vehicle over, the man purportedly fled the car and threw an item into the woods. The investigators believe that he had thrown his ski mask into the woods. All three occupants were arrested, and they each face various criminal charges.

It is unclear what exactly led the police to initially suspect the man and pull over the vehicle in which he was riding. Regardless, the man -- as well as the other two occupants of the vehicle -- is assumed innocent until, and only if, proved guilty by significant evidence in court. In the meantime, each Missouri individual would do well to begin forming his or her criminal defense in an effort to best prepare for the criminal process ahead of him or her.
