For many people, college is both a time of planning and studying to prepare for a future career and a time of carefree enjoyment. Unfortunately, some people may encounter certain circumstances that cause them to make legal accusations, even if there is insufficient evidence to support those claims. One man has recently been arrested, accused of a rape that is said to have occurred on a Missouri college campus.

The individual reportedly met with the alleged victim and two other people to go to a club. The woman making the accusations claimed she had only had a few drinks when the suspect offered to buy her a drink. She claims she does not remember anything after she consumed it.

According to reports, surveillance footage shows the man carrying the woman into a dorm on campus. The woman told police that when she awoke the next morning, the man was in the room and she was partially clothed. He allegedly told her that they had had sexual intercourse at which point she notified police that she had been raped and went to a local hospital. The man has since been arrested and charged with rape.

Anyone in Missouri who has faced criminal charges, including accusations of rape, likely knows of the benefits that having an experienced criminal defense attorney fighting on their side can have. Such a professional can examine and respond to evidence. Additionally, an attorney can help defendants fully understand the case against them and make informed decisions regarding the direction their case will follow.
