On Behalf of | Feb 4, 2015 | Firm News

Three individuals were recently arrested in Hayti Heights, Missouri, after a stand off with local law enforcement. Each person who was arrested has been charged with second-degree murder, as well as other various charges. Despite the nature of the accusations each person faces, each individual will still have the option to form his criminal defense strategy in the manner in which he chooses.

The authorities believe that around 8:30 a.m. an altercation broke out among four individuals. The nature of the argument, as well as what could have led to the violent escalation, is not clear at this time. The investigators claim that there is evidence showing that the individuals fired multiple shots at each other, some of which hit several vehicles, as well as two apartments. One of those gunshots fatally wounded a 20 year old.

When the authorities arrived at the scene, there was supposedly a two-hour standoff before they were able to arrest the remaining three individuals. Each person was charged with second-degree murder, unlawful use of a weapon and armed criminal action. One individual was given the additional charge of possession with the intent to deliver marijuana. The three are being held without bond.

The three men face very serious charges in Missouri. Regardless, they have the right to begin gathering knowledge pertaining to their individual situations in an effort to form a solid criminal defense. Furthermore, they will each have an opportunity to defend themselves in court against any accusations and to question the evidence presented against them.
