HIGH ROLLER MAN NAMED IN CRIMINAL LAW SITUATION IN MISSOURI

On Behalf of | Mar 16, 2016 | Firm News

Law enforcement agents have made formal accusations against a man in Missouri that carry potentially serious penalties if he is convicted. Three others were also apparently charged in the criminal law situation. Substantial amounts of drugs were said to be involved in the case.

The man mentioned is said to be a well-known high roller at a popular casino in the area. The 54-year-old stands accused of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and heroin. Federal prosecutors claim he has spent millions of dollars in slot machines at an out-of-state casino; they have therefore labeled him a flight risk, and he is being held in jail without bond.

Law enforcement agents claim they have been investigating the man’s activities for more than two years. He and the three others are alleged to have participated in a large-scale distribution of methamphetamine in Southwest Missouri. Authorities say they had set up surveillance at the man’s property and later found drugs in his garage.

Authorities say they suspect the men are also associated with another drug-related situation where meth was supposedly seized in Texas in 2015. Under current criminal law in Missouri, each of the defendants faces sentences ranging from 10 years to life behind bars. Such charges are obviously quite serious, and those in similar situations are advised to retain experienced legal help before proceeding to court. It is often the actions of skilled defense lawyers that prove crucial toward helping defendants avoid incarceration and obtaining as positive outcomes as possible in light of the charges against them.
