The officer said that at some point, during the chase, he saw a man exit the vehicle and flee the scene on foot. He also claims the man was carrying a container that appeared to be full of marijuana. The driver remained inside his vehicle and was then taken into police custody.
Backup officers were apparently called to aid in the search for the man who had allegedly run away from the car. He was reportedly found hiding under another vehicle in a nearby area. The suspicious jar was also said to have been found a short distance away from where the man was hiding. Authorities say the jar did contain marijuana, and both men are now in jail, awaiting arraignment.
