Most people have multiple interactions throughout their day. Even a short trip to the grocery store typically results in some sort of conversation. Unfortunately, a recent alleged interaction between two women in a Missouri pharmacy led to one woman’s arrest after she was suspected of robbery.

The incident happened on a day in early March. According to police, a 66-year-old woman was shopping at a Walgreens. A news release claims that another woman attempted to take the woman’s purse.

According to the news release, the alleged victim was reportedly struck several times, including blows to her legs, body and face. However, the only injuries reported were cuts to her right hand. The suspect in the case is said to have left the scene on foot without the purse. She has since been arrested, suspected of second-degree robbery.

Those facing criminal charges in Missouri and across the country are left to make difficult decisions that will likely have a significant outcome on the rest of their lives. Unfortunately, most people accused of robbery and other crimes do not have the necessary legal training or knowledge to allow them to make informed decisions. As a result, many suspected of committing a crime may need help to fully understand the potential implications of the choices they make as they navigate the criminal justice system. Fortunately, there are experienced criminal defense attorneys who can help defendants fully understand their options. Having such a person on their side can help relieve some of the stress felt by those accused of crimes.
