REPORTS CLAIM MISSOURI MAN CONFESSED TO MURDER

When a crime happens in a small community, there is often a desperate need for answers. Such a desire is understandable, although it can often lead to a rush to judgment and, potentially, unlawful treatment. Despite the recent arrest of a Missouri man who is now charged with murder, it is unclear how police connected him to the crime.

The incident that led to the man’s arrest happened in rural Missouri. Police claim that a 24-year-old man stabbed a 23-year-old woman and her 24-year-old boyfriend to death. They say that he then put the bodies in his pickup truck and left the scene, leaving the couple’s toddler daughter at the house. He allegedly returned the next day and picked up the daughter.

Officials claim that he then shot the child and buried all three together. Their bodies were discovered soon after they were reported missing. Although police say that the man who now faces multiple charges in connection with the deaths admitted to the crimes, the motive behind the incident is unclear.

The death’s of the parents and their child likely shocked their Missouri community. While having someone arrested and charged with murder in connection to their deaths may provide community members with some sense of peace, it is not unheard of for people to confess to a crime they did not commit, especially if they are intimidated by authority figures and do not have an experienced professional guiding them through questioning. To ensure lawful treatment and to fully understand the implications of information provided, it is often necessary to seek such guidance.
