DRUG CHARGES AMONG THOSE MISSOURI MAN IS FACING

There is no doubt that the end of a romantic relationship can result in a variety of different negative feelings. While arguments, for example, may be usual, violence or other types of physical retaliation is typically rare. Despite this, a Missouri man is facing several criminal accusations, including drug charges, after he allegedly set his ex-girlfriend’s car on fire.

Police claim that they responded to a Missouri home after they received a report of a vehicle on fire. When they arrived, the resident who called them — and the owner of the vehicle — had extinguished the fire. She claims that she saw her ex-boyfriend, a 31-year-old man, entering a blue sedan at the time of the fire.

An officer investigating the incident reportedly saw the vehicle and conducted a stop. The officer claims that the man had two knives in the vehicle and resisted arrest when the officer attempted to take him into custody. He claims that, as a result, he Tased the man before arresting him.

In addition to charges related to setting the fire and resisting arrest, the man is also facing drug charges related to suspicions of possessing drug paraphernalia and narcotics. The 35-year-old female driving the vehicle — that reports claim had been stolen earlier that day — was also taken into custody. Unfortunately, the accusations against the two people are serious, and many people in Missouri facing criminal charges are unsure of their options. As such, they typically want an experienced criminal defense attorney on their side, advising them of their options and guiding them through the criminal justice system.
