Despite this, reports indicate that three people were reportedly arrested and charged with multiple crimes soon after an alleged assault in a Missouri cemetery.
The incident happened on a day in early April. The alleged victim, a 35-year-old woman, claims that she went to the cemetery with a friend, a 31-year-old woman. She claims that while there, her friend and two men, ages 31 and 59, attacked her. She was reportedly able to escape and hide in the woods.
Police reports indicate that the woman was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The three accused of being involved in the attack allegedly took the woman’s truck and other possessions, but they were taken into custody soon afterward. They are all three charged with robbery, tampering with a motor vehicle, and armed criminal action, among other charges. The two men face an additional charge of first-degree assault, and the woman is charged with domestic assault.
