Whether or not something is suspicious is a subjective measure that likely means something different to different people. Despite this, it was allegedly a report of a suspicious vehicle that led to drug charges against an out-of-state man in Missouri. As a result of an encounter with police following such a report, a man is now charged with delivery of a controlled substance.

According to reports, the events that led to the man’s arrest happened during the evening hours of a day in April. Police say that they made contact with the man after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle. When they arrived at the scene, police officers claim to have smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle.

Reports indicate that a search of the vehicle led to the discovery of almost 58 grams of marijuana in addition to hundreds of baggies often used for distribution and 11 vape cartridges. Police report that there was almost $20,000 in cash in the vehicle as well. The man reportedly told police officers that he purchased the marijuana from a drug dealer before going behind the business to smoke.

When faced with a confrontation with police officers, many people in Missouri and across the country are unsure of how to respond. Fortunately, having an experienced criminal defense attorney on their side can help them decide what information to provide.
